Nathan Brandner was born and raised in Northeastern Wisconsin. Attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point he graduated in a timely fashion with his degree in art. Following his graduation he enrolled in a summer course at the Florence Academy of Art to pursue his passion for classical art and unlock the secrets of the masters. Upon returning stateside he took his education further yet, training at the Academy of Fine Art in Wisconsin and currently resides back in the northeastern region of the state. Nathan currently pursues his art on a full time basis and continually strives toward mastery.
Inspired by the expressive brushwork of John Singer Sargent and the chiaroscuro of Rembrandt, Nathan is always seeking ways to create the breath of light and life in his works. Having been blessed to work under the likes of Ken DeWaard, Molly Johnson and Dan Gerhartz he has learned many technical and philosophical components to painting that have brought him to where he is today.
