BIO: I love the creative process and I’m especially interested in the power of color to evoke moods and feelings. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BFA in 1976. My major was Graphic Communications. I was focused on being a designer at the time, having started out at the School of Architecture. From there my partner/husband and I started a contemporary furniture store and, subsequently, business(es) and family took over my life. The Dream still lives. I’m just getting started with being a working artist later than planned. Over the intervening years, here and there, I have taken workshops and classes in fiber ar ts, lamp working, encaustic, watercolor and pastel. Recently, I’ve discovered that I like working in clay. I’m all over the place, but am focusing on pastel because it is “hands on” and a color intensive medium. With the goal of gaining experience and skills, I’m in the process of finding my artistic voice. My home is in Bayfield, WI.
