Bio: I remember paging through an art book with my mother when I was very little. When we came to Toulouse Lautrec’s "At the Moulin Rouge," she pointed out that Lautrec had painted himself into the background of this lively nightlife scene. Being of small stature, Lautrec was shorter than anyone else in the room. I thought, “Wow, even little people like me can make art…” Making pictures became my very favorite thing to do. Eventually I went off to college to make a career of it, but the choices of childhood came to no longer fit the adult I was becoming. I stopped making pictures and made other things instead. I made a career as a psychologist. My husband Dave and I made a loving marriage and beautiful babies, who turned into the young adults we love today. We made Prescott, AZ - a small mountain town in the forest - into our hometown. Then, after many years, I started making pictures again. Now it fits. My sister Robin and brother-in-law Don have made Port Wing into their second home. Dave and I are excited to come visit and to participate in the 2013 Plein Air Festival. We both paint in oils.
